LITERARY WEBLOGS: There are hundreds if not thousands of these on the web with new ones popping up all the time. Some have short posts that link to news, events and other interesting content, others are filled with long-winded commentary on news, events and content. I usually prefer the former.

AUTHOR INTERVIEWS: Love reading and listening to interviews with authors? Me too.
- Bookworm
- From National Public Radio’s Santa Monica station (KCRW) comes this fantastic program where poets and writers are expertly interviewed by host Michael Silverblatt. The archives, available on-line for free, will keep you busy for a long time. The show is partially sponsored by the Lannan Foundation whose website is also filled with readings and interviews.
- Identity Theory
- Self-described “bookish journalist,” Robert Birnbaum has interviewed an impressive amout of authors with his faithful dog Rosie by his side.
- DNA of Literature
- It was always a dream of George Plimpton’s that the vast library of interviews from The Paris Review would be made available to the public for free. That dream is achieved in this great resourse (though some of the interviews are not yet up and some are unavailable due to lame copyright issues).
- Wired for Books
- While producing the CBS Radio’s “Book Beat,” Don Swain amassed an enormous collection of author interviews.
